    King Pandukabhaya (437 B.C-367 B.C)

    UnmadaChitra gave birth to her only son Pandukabhaya. A poor womanbrought him up secretly in a remote village.Chitra was in fear of her brothers who wanted to kill her son,as said in astrology.

    Pandukabhaya defeated his uncles and established his kingdom in Anuradhapura.
